So frustrated...PLZ HELP! Fired for using GPS

I would just fill out applications for the companies you want to work for, then call them and explain the situation. Did you have to sign a no gps paper

 

I had some bs with schneider happen couple years ago they put some stuff on my dac and i disputed it and they changed it, so if i was you i would keep trying! You aggravate them long enough they will help you! The gps thing is BS, thats why i won't sign on with a big company.. i hate being told what to do.

 

try central transport..not a creme de la creme LTL carrier, but they might hire you..linehaul and city..might have to put some seat time on a lift too. Not sure if you wanted otr or local.

But atleast try to clean up your DAC first.

 

Try one of those 3rd party recruiting companies. They are always on Craigslist under transport. That's how I got hired with US Xpress after Werner and believe me I had a bad DAC. I have now moved on to a much better company.

 

I don't know about the third party companies but definatly look on your local craigslist. Just be careful there are some shady turds on there but it is very possible to find a diamond in the rough. I would not give a crap about your DAC as 99% of small companies don't check it. They just care about your driving record.

As for the reason they fired you that is the most ridicules thing I ever read on here. Well other than the lady who got fired because she complained her 10 hour break was 9 hours and 55 minutes LOL.

I once worked for a para transit bus company that had a rule the GPS has to be windshield mounted. Well my phone has a GPS and some POS complained and they wrote me up but not fired. I'm sorry but I am not spending $100+ dollars for a new gps to suit your stupid rule. This is just crazy.

 

What about a compass? Would they have allowed that? Lol just kidding.

Not to dig on you but I'd start by following company policy. Especially with no experience, I wouldn't take any chances.
