I would not say it makes you think. The flatbed hall of shame thread I think proves that. What it does do is quickly weed out the ones who cannot think.
Well it is.I'm all snowflakey. And I'm sure you've seen how quickly all those snowflakes melt in the rain..![]()

Wrong. As I told I don't know how you make any money with ELDs . When I worked for Arrow and especially Boyd, 2 years each, you had to get very creative with the book. But please share a supertrucker outfit you can log what you do and still make average otr wage. Don't keep that knowledge to yourself.

@Mr. PPS
My best company flatbed job was 40% to me, average rates to the truck were around $4.00 a mile. I was paid $200 to tarp each load, even with a quick draw system (sailboat fuel paid a premium through a government contract). I was running about 1500 miles a week, and bringing home $2600 after taxes.
This was a stark contrast from my previous company where I was a company driver making 15%. Out of that 15% I had to pay for fuel, maintenance, tolls. I did have a lot more satisfaction working for nearly free with this company, knowing they were making a profit was enough motivation.
I left flatbedding and now run team for McKesson, armed security loads of pharmaceuticals. We run 24/7/365 and while I make upwards of $300k a year, I do miss tarping for free. Here comes the MP’s, gotta go.PoleCrusher, 4mer trucker, SAR and 4 others Thank this. -
This thread was started by somebody looking into driving a flatbed. So whatever super duper niche secret flatbed outfits out there paying decent wages is not in his cards anyway. But for whatever secret niche flatbed job there is a niche non flatbed job paying the same or more for less work and risk.

These wannabe big bucks supertruckers didn't make it back in the days. Luckily, as truckersforums attest, six figures salaries spread like fire through flat bed world.

It’s not personal attacks. I simply pointed out the facts. You the one who started this whole supertrucker crap. I run my own authority and have for the last 11 years. 10 of those 11 have been all open deck. I am very comfortable, but I do the stuff guys like you won’t. As such I am paid very well for it.already gone, PoleCrusher, 4mer trucker and 6 others Thank this.

MR PPS...I have a question pending that you didn't answer yet....see quote above.4mer trucker, cke, johndeere4020 and 4 others Thank this.

Exactly our point! We all know how well arrow was as a company, and Boyd isn’t much other than a sticks and bricks company. You didn’t work for what any of us would call a good company. Fact is they are no different than an every day mega carrier only running flats and not vans. I understand that you had a bad experience, but you need to understand that not everyone has the same bad experience.PoleCrusher, 4mer trucker, SAR and 6 others Thank this.

You beat me to the draw. I'm outta here. The OP just wants to start sh.., and I have another thread that is much more interesting.PoleCrusher, 4mer trucker, SAR and 4 others Thank this.
