If he averages 2500 miles a week, he should be able to gross closer to 50... Plus Prime has a bonus for fuel efficiency, accessory pay, etc.

Are you implying that 2500 miles a week is not a realistic number for a truck driver to hit, or that my math is wrong? Talking gross, not net.

I work for Con-way Freight on a Dedicated route.Run about 500 miles a night round trip and work on our Dock about 2 hours a Night.Make .53cpm and $22 an hour on the Dock.If u can tolerate starting out Low man on the Totem pole and just hangin around for a Couple years bouncing around on different shift then it will start to get better.Really depends on the Terminal you work at and What job positions they have available.Made $87,000 this year. Not the Best money at my Terminal but not the Worst by Far.Workin the Linehaul shifts pay better than being in the City routes. They are hourly and work 9-12 hours a day. They will still make $50,000-$63,000 a year.We are home every night even though we may work up to 14 hours a day.Especially on the Night time Lunehaul runs

Boy, they sure do a great deal of work to make it look like you are making a large sum of money.

Take the gross and reduce it by the after tax deductions and shows almost the social security wages. Difference of 4,000 or so.

I am looking to start a new job for the new year, for you guys that are making 65-70 plus a year I sure would like to know where you guys are working. I'm a twelve plus year driver with tank and hazmat / TWIC card and prefer to pull tankers or flats.

speak for yourself. I've posted my stub in another thread, and I'm actually fairly competent with a calculator.

I'm also smart enough to avoid per diem.
