I like it. Initial reports have been very good.
I called out for the CB shop I bought it from after I hooked it up (because he said he had just gotten them in and had neither tried nor heard one) and the first comeback was "driver what the hell do you need the CB shop for? I doubt anybody could make that radio sound better than it does."

And I can attest that this mic is "hotter" than my SRA-198. It sounds sharper OTA too. I can't find my old RK56 to compare it right now.

I'd be interested in tryin' one. I love my old Road Kings but I can't seem to keep a cord on one. Tried several 636L's but I don't care for the sound or the way they feel. My SRA198 has been great so far. Feels good, sounds good, and so far the core is hangin' in there. I think a lot has to do with it having that spring where the cord enters the mic housing. Looks like the Palomar has one too. I drive a lot of off road (oilfield) so my stuff takes a beating.
Can I order one on Ebay or do I have to find a shop? I run mostly western Oklahoma and Texas panhandle. -

Next time I get to the yard, I'll see if I can get another driver to record me.
