    Don't we all end up with mics and antennas. Seems like something comes out that's better so we buy it. I'm like Diesel Dave small collection of mics and amtennas

    Update;
    I have been playing with the Palomar SL41, Im fed up with it. It's doesn't work with my set up. Eric at Palomar even sent me another one. I still got squeal/feedback, I even adjusted the pot inside the mic as per instructions, still squealing. I even turned off the talkback to avoid the feedback, and when I asked for a radio check, they said when If i wasn't talking, they could hear the squeal still. When I hooked up my Ranger SRA198 mic back on, I was told to keep it, that it sounded way better than the Palomar SL41. So that's that. I'm throwing in the towel. I'm returning back.
    I think @rabbiporkchop said it earlier on here, depends on what radio the SL41 is hooked to and who's been in it.
    I'm sure many will be happy with the SL41. It just wasn't for me.
    Like a driver told me today, "If it ain't broke, why fix it"......

    that's probably why I'm going to stick with my stock microphone on my Anytone radio until I get my Heil pr40.
