I think he would appreciate a little less sanctimony and a little more encouragement. Some of us have made mistakes in the past and work hard to change...God knows I did and I have, but naysayers have their place also. Nothing fires me up quite like someone saying I can't. By God, I will or will burn down trying.

Of course he would but how can I encourage someone when I know in my heart id be setting him up to fail.Yes I'm brutally honest and anyone that knows me on here knows that's how I am and I do give encouragement to many on the forum but not just anyone.

Patty, you only fail if you give up. Sounds to me like the OP may just have the grit to keep fighting, and I for one, applaud that and wish him nothing but the best.

He has two speeding tickets, I hope you never have sped with your annoying elitist attitude. Hope you have a better day tomorrow since you seem to be having a rough one today.

Seems like you're getting the job offers, but the pet policy is the barrier to changing companies, plus you want flatbed. I don't know, shop around with these:
Wiley Sanders Truck Line in Troy,AL
McCurdy M.W. & Company in Houston,TX - probably have to relocate to Houston.
    Western Express
BT Express Global Services - Weatherford,Oklahoma
    PI&I Motor Express - Masury,Ohio

    Jfcchvac Thanks this.

Hey thank you very much. I'm waiting on a call back from Western Express. They seemed pretty sure they could get me position so fingers crossed. Plus they allow pets! I know it's silly to be really focused on the pet aspect, but I'm looking for longevity in my next job. If they don't take me I'll speak with all other companies mentioned. I could go to Texas definitely

I got a call today that LTI would take me in November. They seem like a real good company. Was surprised at how high the pay was versuses only one year experience

I have seen felons go to the market and work inside the trailers of trucks for cash. Maybe 90 dollars for a loading of a truck in LA going east with produce. It's not much but they would scratch out a living doing work most Americans will shun.

Im not suggesting you go work as a lumper for cash, it is what it is. That 30 over though it's outrageous. And if it's under a CDL in effect when that was done that's going to hurt you, as if you don't already know.

There are people here who can help you with companies who are not so... choosy with hiring people with pasts or problems. It's not the end of the world. There was a three year time period that I call the lost years in my own past due to too many tickets and so on and I managed to hold it together and come back from that. But to do so required me to essentially understand that there is no place for me in those days and I needed to emigrate from Maryland into a free state and start over with my life. It worked out well.

America is a land in which you can build something from nothing or even less than nothing. And that is all I can offer as a motivational thought. If I can do it I think you can too.

Just passing by and gokiddogo Thank this.
