So I just had LASIK surgery today

I can see great already! Before, I couldn't even see my alarm clock from my bed without glasses. Pretty amazing.

 

I got it on Friday and yesterday I went back in for the follow up and they said I had better than 20/20 vision. Even took my daughter and her friend to a festival yesterday. Granted my eyes are bloodstained, which should clear up in 2-3 weeks. Still have to use drops and keep them out of the sunlight with polarized sunglasses. If you get it on Friday you should definitely be good by Monday. However, everyone heals differently.

There is one issue of seeing well at night. I still see rings around lights which they said should go away in 2-3 weeks. So you would have to be very careful if you plan on driving at night.

Also, they told me there is a big difference in results with people who are nearsighted and those who are farsighted. I was nearsighted. But they will tell you if you are a good candidate for LASIK. There are also other treatments available.
