When I first started driving there was this other driver that was always hanging around the terminal acting bad and talking smack about everything and everybody. He wore a full length leather duster coat (think Clint Eastwood in a western movie) and made sure everybody could see that we was packing heat under it by the big lump protruding from his belt line. So one night I'm walking from my truck into the terminal and he's there at the side of his truck putting on his coat and I see his sidearm which turned out to be a huge wallet on a chain attached to his belt. A week later he was telling us all how he had some guy threatening him at a truck stop and how he pulled out his gun and the guy p issed himself. He couldn't figure out why we were all laughing at him and then one of the guys grabbed his wallet from the outside of his coat and asked why would somebody p iss their pants if you pointed your wallet at them? He said F you all and stormed out, never to brag to us again.

Sometimes I like to pull into a truck stop and get on the radio and say my trainer says I have to annouce this for the next six months. This week I got my truck, and I am a rookie. Now I am gonna try to park this truck.
Then find a nice spot and back it in.

One load from a secret navy base, can’t tell you where, they made me sign documents that I would not tell for 30 years. I was loaded inside the underground part. They made me park the truck and go inside a dark room and wait. When they finished loading and put some big locks on the doors, then told me that I would have no paperwork or bills, just a piece of paper with an address and two phone numbers. I had to call the first one anytime I had to stop. I was also told that other than fuel and maybe food, I was not supposed to stop anywhere. When I did have to stop for fuel, these very, and I do mean very, large gentleman appeared out of no where and kind of milled around. Was a good paying load too, like 18.50 a mile.

You forgot to mention the night before you loaded. While at Applebees you got picked up by a Russian accented knock down, drag out, drop dead, gorgeous woman.
You went back to her hotel rode her like a bucking bronco for hours. She kept asking about your load, and you kept lying to her. In the morning you sent her 1500 miles in the wrong direction.
When you delivered that same woman was there inside the facility. Turns out she was a top secret, delta force, cia, super spy. Between her being happy you didn't give up any secrets (and your awesome prowlness in bed) She took you her quarters that night. But now you have a poblem. She told her equally super sexy girlfriend about you. And now where ever you go, o e of them keeps showing up. You just cant get rid of them. But you would really prefer a down home wholesome girl next door, type of girl. Oh well the things people do for their country.

It is the only way you will be able to join the elitest secret society of TTR.

You also must make it a point, every chance you get, to tell people like yourself, they are doing it wrong, whatever it might be, and unless they do it like you do, drive the same kind of truck you do, and pull the same kind of freight you do, they will always be nothing.

5-10 years? I've met drivers with less than 6 months experience on their own think they know everything and have to tell everyone how wrong they are.
