Just trying to figure something meeting this criteria:
Not a bailout
Not free money
Not a concession by bank or borrower
Lowers payment to achievable amount
Preserves homeowner credit
Is legitamate on the up and up
And most importantly keeps a roof over the owner's head until the economy improves.
So..... is it over?

I'm sorry this happened to you. You are one of the exceptions I am speaking of, and one of the people that the idea I have would help the most. I wish Washington would wake up to reality.

The sad part is that the people are being blamed for taking these loans out during the last 3 years. I think that alot of blame should be spread to the banks for making the loans in the first place. -
Yes
But as humans we are greedy
And the two largest buyers of mortgages having just having been spun off from government agencies (fanny mae, freddie mac)
Had requirements via the government that they had to lend to people who didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of paying it off
One giant pyramid scheme
It was government controlled and caused

Have you noticed that greed has become more noticeable during the last 5 years. It is everywhere in the news and on the minds of alot of people.
Baack Thanks this. -
Yes and all the bottom feeder attorneys promising us riches with crazy law suits!!!!

If you give every tax paying american $20,000.00 a loaf of bread will cost $200.00. There is no way these greedy corporations, bankers and politicians will allow you to keep that money.
Baack Thanks this. -

Yeah, NOBODY WOULD BAIL ME OUT ! No Banks or even Loan sharks would give us a Loan. If we couldn't pay our taxes? How would we pay the Loan?
Yet, if the Banks get Bailed Out and the Auto Industry Gets Bailed out, and if they screwed up once, how do we know? It won't happen a second time?
Wildbill : If you go onto ConRails website, there it will post, all the positions that are open., for whatever state and area you're seeking. And there's quite a few of them. For each position, they explain in details about the training and what that position pays. But you're right, no one gets into a top position ( like a conductor) right away. But the Rails do pay decent., and the hours are long and on call .
Here , from our Local Paper, there was a big write up on , how Conrail needs many employees to fill positions. And if they couldn't find enough workers here, they would have to move to another area, where there are more workers.
I'm Saying,,In the Past, we put them out of business and now The Rails are Taking Their "Rights" back again. They will again be flourishing, rather than the Trucking Industry.
ha, ha, ha, What about Sex?
ha, ha, ha, I'm a female! Local work was hard to find, moving out here in the boonies. I applied as a dispatcher. I know all the ropes and experience with that (and much more). Never heard from them.

DoubleDear
Try CSX or Northfolk Southern. I know at least four women that were hired as Conductors and and two that moved up to Yardmaster about a year after they hired on. The Railroad really doesn't care what your sex is as long as you can do the job.
They have people furloughed right now but if freight picks up they will start hiring again.
They look for certain things on your application. I interviewed with North folk Southern and I was sure I got the job, but didn't. I didn't understand why I wasn't selected, I made myself look really good on Paper. So to make a long story short I did some more research on the Internet and came across a book titled " How to get a Railroad job" It goes into great detail on how to answer certain questions. All Railroads ask the same questions, and knowing what specific answers they are looking for will increase your chances greatly.
After reading the down loadable book I applied for CSX and was hired after my first interview.
I checked the Conrail web site about a month ago but I will check it again, thanks for the heads up.
