I just read an article on freight waves that the fmcsa is going to make it harder to be an independent on everyone, that their is going to be another audit and it may include twice a year audits due to all the scammers and new entrants. Hopefully they start enforcing more rules that are already on the books to keep those that shouldn't be here out of ownership.
So many are starting up?

this whole industry does need to be completely redone
but the government never does anything but #### up whatever it touchedexhausted379, TheLoadOut, asphaltreptile311 and 5 others Thank this. -
No kidding. The government would muck up a wet dream... Look at how they screwed up the driver's training "improvement". What a mess. That said, some additional checks on new carriers would not be a bad thing. A good auditor would know in two minutes if he's dealing with an up and up company or a Chicago 1099 Wonder. Running some log books through an AI program to detect likely fraud wouldn't take but a few minutes.TheLoadOut, Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this.

Mr George Mr George we have problema
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I get what you are saying but the same thing can be said to just about any kind of work. This just happens to be one that English is not needed because some how people tolerate it. If Shippers and Receivers pushed this as some do, we would not see as many single truck owners. Also lets not forget how they seem to be getting CDL's without being able to pass any English.TheLoadOut, larry2903 and Rideandrepair Thank this.

With all that aid that they keep asking us for, one could think that they needed more over there in their country than here driving trucks.Beaver9 Thanks this.
