No I do not use them anymore. Starting out not knowing any brokers I was on them every day. I still have Truckstop.com. I will look just to get a feel for what is going on. Every customer i have was initially contacted using the load board. Once you develop a relationship with a broker and he has trust in you he will call making everything easer on both parties.

Most loads never make it to the load board. Not to discourage you but only if a broker does not have someone to carry the load will it ever get to the load board. If you have been working with someone for years having success why take a chance with someone you don’t know.

Hey guys. The topic of this thread by me is s"many mixer results". So my next question is fitting. Looking at gvwr on Cummins dually 2019, I see it's 11,700. Fine. When I look at a new Big Tex 16gn the gvwr is 17500 but the weight is 6110 lb. So I've heard on hear to subtract from the 26000lb, for non cdl driver, the grwr of the truck then from that number subtract the gvwr of the trailer. 29200 total gvwr of the truck and trailer is what you end up with. Now this seems like a very standard set up for hotshots, so how are they getting away with being over they're allowed 26000 limit?
-
They ask big tex to derate the trailer to a fitting weight. If your truck is 11,700 the trailer has to be derated to 14,300 to be legally 26,000.
Cummins dually is 14,000 gvwr by the way, single axle is 11,700 gvwr.singlescrewshaker Thanks this. -
Thanks 24! Good catch too btw. So 26000-14000=12000 for the trailer...got it.
