A Mega is a company that can service the transportation needs of any company anywhere anytime at the lowest possible cost

    1000 and larger.

You become just a wheel. But if they remember you and take care of you then that's all that matters.

JBH was around 15K drivers and three times that trailers. Not my favorite company it was strictly a three week experiment. The problem was they failed to pull one of the 30 conventionals out of the North Little Rock Remuda like I asked for. Told them cabover is a risk due to taking cars out. And there it was took out a car one night.

I prefer fleets around maybe 300 to 1000 max. 200 is even better, but you have to provide quality work.

My medicine out fit was almost 100 trucks. Half were out at any given time. My last week there I moved about 24 loads to support teams so they don't have to double back 500 miles to and from Memphis going west. So it was essentially 24/7 taking naps moving 600-700 daily if not pushing 1000 at times.

They don’t set their trucks at 65 mph or less for “Safety”.

They are set low to save on their fuel bill.. Imagine how much Schneider saves over their entire fleet per day..

remember driver cameras are for "safety". I did notice when I'm on 55mph limit roads the truck gets better mpg. But it also gets better mpg at 67mph with a light load and no hills

If you’re truck is set at 65 mph... you might be at a mega.

If you stopped for fuel 6 times on a 200 mile run.. you might be at a mega

If everyone you ask how long they been there says under a year.. you might be at a mega

If you call in and say your name and they don’t know who you are til you give them your driver #... you might be at a mega

If they move more new hires on a Greyhound than they do freight in a week.. you might be at a mega

well I am limited to 65mph but it's 67mph on cruise. Which is a very odd number.
