$18 per hour is $36,000 full time based on 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year. With a nation wide push to make minimum wage $15 and hour, plus a national debt of over 20 Trillion, you can expect massive inflation. If you have a CDL A license working a CDL B job is not the most efficient use of your talents. You need to make as much money as possible as quickly as possible and invest in real estate or some other hard asset.

But then again Iran or North Korea could blow us all up and it won't matter. Have a nice day.

40 hours minimum? 18 per hour? Here in Arkansas you be a king. Most they pay is 12 or so.

I have not been up there in your way in a long time, but I think that would work out well for you. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

Don't get hung up discriminating against class B trucks or class A trucks. As far as Im concerned anything that is commercial, even a car or a pickup truck is work. I have had employers try to use the excuse that class A is over qualified only to avoid the discrimation suits I would bring against them.

    Unfortunately in Boston, it's peanuts.
3rd most expensive city in the continental usa to live.
Boston Globe wrote an article about month ago. Due to college kids from the sand box, durkadurkastan , and China, rents have doubled the last 5 years.
I really wanted to save oUT here for a few years, but it doesn't look like that idea is panning out quite well.

Your on the right track that is a better deal than what your doing now. You can have a life at home live like a human being again. Take the job for now and while your home keep looking around. Not having to sleep in a truck is worth its weight in gold. Cooking your own meals at home everynight sleeping in your comfy bed getting cleaned up in your own shower everyday is the best.

I highly doubt this is a 70 hour a week job.
They would hire another driver before paying that much
    OT every week.
He'll squeeze a couple hours a week OT every now and then.
You can't support a family in Boston with this job, somebody
    else has to work.

Health insurance is quickly becoming about 60% of the reason you even take a job. I pay nearly $10,000 a year for, where I'm from that is a house payment on a really nice home.

All that sounds great, till your sitting at home broke living
    Week to week.
It's my expierence and I'm sure many others on this forum,
Ever time I tried that local 18 to 20 dollar an hour job that's home every night,I've worked harder and longer hours for 3 to 4 hundred dollars less per week that I made on the road.

BostonTanker, xlsdraw and Md420 Thank this.
