Slip seating is not the same.

However, keep in mind, when you park the truck in the yard, be sure and take anything of value out of it. Most companies key the trucks the same and anyone can get in the truck.

well yeah i definitely wouldnt leave like laptops and other electronic toys in the truck, but if i had like a fridge and all kind of stuff set up in the truck, i would really hate to have to move that stuff out every time i went home. I haven't heard of companies doing that much, the ones I have spoken with said they didn't so I'll keep that in mind as I continue through school and meet with other recruiters.

The last company truck I had, I had to leave it at their yard.

They had a guard and all. I took everything of value out.

I never listened to the radio in the truck, and did not smoke.

Came in on Sunday to get the truck and it stunk of cigarettes. The radio was on a country station. The hours on the APU showed it had been running for several hours.

The atlas was gone and some other papers.

Its really not slipseating some trucking companies don't like there trucks park more than 3-4 days, you may get away for 5 days but rarely, remember when the truck an't moving the company isn't making money so that's why they do that. Now i'm not saying all trucking companies do this but I say about 90% do and 99% of your mega carriers are like that.

My hubby has been leaving things in his truck when he comes home - has been noticing the CB changed from channel 19 to channel 9 (he only listens to channel 19), and been noticing missing socks and underwear when he goes back. In addition, he also found a Blackberry carrier in there and something else that had been added to his truck while it was in the secure terminal. I told him that since he has been missing underwear and socks, he MIGHT want to consider taking his electrical stuff with him when he leaves the truck while coming home for home time. He calls the CB channel changing and missing underwear/socks "pranks". I asked him "Are you sure that those things are not going missing while you are in a truck stop? And are you sure that the CB channel only changes when at the terminal?"

missin draws! its the same everywhere, just have to watch your stuff. like i know may has a terminal here in denver, few miles from where i live, but once in a while i see a may truck and trailer parked out near the entrance to the apartment complex. always wondered why they didn't just park at the depo and thought if there was one that close that May would make ya park it there, but guess they don't mind

Yeah, he told me has been missing socks, underwear and potato chips. I asked him if he was sure he had not eaten the chips and just forgotten. No, it was 3 whole cans of Pringles in a single wrapping that he had not even opened yet. So, I asked if he was sure anything more expensive had not gone missing. Nope, that was all still there which is why he terms it "pranks".
