In 2020, I got a side gig driving tow trucks for two days a week… RMRS was the company, which was the commercial division of Pacesetter, which in turn is owned by AAA Colorado (now in turn owned by Auto Club Group, though that wasn’t the case when I started). Once I left the yard, I’d swing by the 7-Eleven at Arapaho and I25 in Centennial, get myself a bottle of water and whatever else I wanted, then start my day. Two times I was approached by T/T drivers… one was a Navajo Express (whose shop I used to work in) driver in need of zip ties. The other locked himself out of a Cascadia. Tried my key first (I was in an M2 with a 12 ton Century boom), but ended up getting in with my lockout kit… air wedged the door and got a loop around the cap on the lock linkage. Guy was pretty cool… I wasn’t charging him anything… the day was starting off slow anyhow, and professional courtesy and all… he insisted on sending me some money via Cashapp anyhow.
Anyhow, I’m surprised nobody has suggested the prison wallet.
So where do you hide your spare key?

Ya... keep your spare key in your other pocket so you always have a way in.
Simple.
All these methods of hiding the spare key, when you could just keep it with you. -
I was told by a little birdy that a great place to hide a key is in @MACK E-6 's backyard.
