Someone else said the same about them in Illinois. Money must be pretty good for them to stick around if they're that unhappy.

I actually have this on one of my tabs, I think they feed from long beach city college? That would be awesome if I could do that. Thanks so much for all the info guys, Thank god for the internet, what did we all do before it lol? Looks like I have some options and some calls to make.

Just noticed the comment about intermodal vs tanker...why the preference?

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Also while i'm looking do you guys know of where to find a good list of schools? I need something short but I would like all the certificates if possible? I know its tall order but I gotta ask.

Not a tall order; simple Google search will show them.
Long Beach City College trains port drivers. You'll have all the endorsements and TWIC ID Card and whatever else they offer, when you graduate. If you get tired of intermodal/port that cdl will be good for any other type trucking.
I was stationed in Long Beach for 2 years aboard the USS New Jersey (BB-62).

Ya I saw that, but the course is 8 weeks, also I've been googling but I was just curious about anyone's experience first hand, hard to get an opinion just from a website. Roadmaster is 3-4 weeks, but I dunno if thats enough time to get all the certs? Generally how long is recommended to get a decent grasp? I'm a good driver and a quick learner so I'm not that worried.

160 hr. school qualifies you for most trucking companies. 160 hr. school is 4 weeks.
Roadmaster is over priced and the school is owned by Werner, so they push Werner.

    austinmike and snowlauncher Thank this.
