Hi Everyone, I would like to find out what interests yall have while out on the road, and would love your feedback. Here are some questions I have:
-how do you find other drivers in the same location as you for getting together during your break? Is this an interest of most drivers?
-how do you communicate with local drivers to ask questions about work related questions like a local repair shops, or the best rest stop in the area, or even social topics like cool places to eat at, and where most drivers like to hang out?
-how do drivers keep in touch with other drivers on the road, is it through mobile applications, social networks, or do most prefer the simple phone call?
I am asking these questions because I work in the industry, and would like to get you, the drivers input, on what your priorities are out on the road. Obviously, work is first, but do most drivers share an interest in wanting to connect with other drivers while out on the road?
All feedback is welcome, and would love suggestions on better questions to ask!

Most drivers these days seem to want to stay
To themselves. There loners by nature. -
Thanks for the response. I would love to get the input of those that are social on the road, or at least want to be!

I just came across something similar, and wanted to pass along a website that seems to be working on helping drivers meet when while taking a break: *spam spam spammy link removed*

lol nice way to peddle your own site but this site pretty much covers everything you were asking about.
KW Cajun Thanks this. -
curious, are you looking for team drivers ?

Hi Marine Man, Yes, this forum is an incredible site for so many topics, but what I want to find out is if drivers are interested in connecting with other drivers when they are out on the road, able to communicate in real time, and find others in their immediate area through the app, rather than having to check back to a website all the time. Trying to gage interest since I hear drivers asking for more social setting when taking a break etc.

I hate dealing with no good truck drivers.
Arkansas Thanks this. -
I think this is better than an app, plus some receivers/shippers require one.
They are not going to text you on a app when its your turn at the dock.

Been running all day with these drivers on the road last thing I want to do on my break is look at more. Best part of the day is finding a parking spot where the drivers are quiet close the drapes grab a hot shower cause that 10hr break goes real quick
