Gman said it, every time you stop it really eats up a lot of time! Especially stopping at truck stops! You really need to budget your time efficiently if you want to make money out there. You have to realize that those minutes may not cost you that day or that week but when you add them up over a year its really costly on you. You always have to keep that in mind. With that being said I would recommend you really try to keep your stops during your drive time limited to quick bathroom breaks and such. Before you take off and start your shift its wise to get all of your needs then. All your food, drinks etc... This way when you do make a stop, its just a quick pit stop/bathroom break at a rest stop or somewhere quick. Every time you leave the interstate plan on at least 20-30 minutes of your time being wasted. Save the eating and showering etc... for one good stop maybe when you are done driving. If you cannot do it this way then plan your one good stop for getting everything done at once. Stop for fuel, grab a bite and maybe a shower. You can do this with a split shift and get back out there not wasting any time. Also a midday dinner and shower and also fuel up will be significantly quicker because nobody will be in the truck stop. When you shutdown at the end of your drive you can park anywhere and just get some good rest.
Team driving is a whole other animal! "pm" me if you would like those details. My posts tend to lengthy and I don't want to bore everyone!
Good luck guys, stay safe and keep the doors shut!
