I'm not in to barbque too much.
    Most of its awful anyways.
Sometimes I will stop at the place behind the Petro in Little Rock, and it could always be a lot better.

I agree with that. Actually I'm not even sure I've ever had really good BBQ from a restaurant. So I don't even know why I suggested it. Most the time anything my dad does or someone does in their backyard is where it's at.

Welcome to KC.....if you end up moving here. I moved here almost 2 years ago.

I like it here......housing is pretty high but everything else isn't to bad. KC is a
working man's town......not a lot of rich people.....but most of the people are
pretty decent. I live on the Kansas side......taxes are high, wages are low.......

Thanks brother! Yea I'm on the Kansas side. I got a townhome condo thingy yesterday actually in Overland Park. I was looking at some in Lenexa, but since I wish to not sell my organs to make rent, I didn't have much luck. You nailed it man. Housing is pretty high. Some of the lofts in downtown KC are like 600 sq. foot and they want 3k a month for them. I pay over 1k for anything I expect to have different rooms.

ODFL closed their terminal Monday in St. Joseph, MO....expecting up to 1 million people in the area and gridlock in all directions. Even heard they're placing porta-johns along the highway around KC metro.

    Just a little heads up.
On the DFW news today, the young lady said the DFW area will be in the path of the Total solar eclipse in 2024.
So plan your route accordingly. Don't be caught off guard. No need to wait til the last minute to get into the Truck Stop and get that roller dog. Maybe you should call the TA in Denton and reserve that parking spot.

"PATH OF TOTALITY" Seriously, could we be anymore apocalyptic?

I have to load in Morrill, Ne. Monday at 7 am. I know people who are leaving Denver to drive to Nebraska and Wyoming at 3 am Monday. On Sunday I have to work, should be parked in Denver about 5 pm, as soon as my 10 is up, not one minute later, I will be on the road. I figure my normal 3 hr drive will take 4 hours or more. We have another driver loading in Alliance, Ne., which is dead center in the path, his appt. is 8 am, we suggested he leave at 2 am to beat the crowds.
