I had no idea who they were. On a winter night in 1988 I was dragged into a steamy little bar in Boston because a friend was friends with the warm up band. I wasn't prepared for the intensity of Living Color. That was my first experience with a mosh pit. All I can say is they were amazing.

 

Darkness did fall, the sun is rising now

 

I heard all the banks are going to fail and the electrical grid is going to go dark.

Woohoo! No more credit card debt!!!

 

No, it'll be another total eclipse. Different path, though...from Mexico up through Texas towards Maine instead of only cutting across the US from Oregon to South Carolina. As luck would have it, I'll get to watch that one from my house, too...only 15 miles from where the centers intersect.

 

Talked to a neighbor of mine on Friday. He was getting ready to pull his camper up to a local winery for somebody to rent. The winery is paying him $400/night for 3 nights...because they have people willing to pay $600/night to camp on the property. That camper my neighbor bought for $1100 over 3 years ago is paying for itself this weekend.

 

The PDX news this AM are telling people to make sure you have supplies in your vehicle, like extra medications in case you run out during the traffic jams expected.
