Try a set of agm deep cycle batteries they hold a charge alot better than the the lead acid batteries. An less hassle than solar panels

There are all kind of flexible solar film on Amazon, would better work for trucks, can wrap the entire truck any surface , but i understand are less efficient.

I Have a APU on right now but im just not happy with it. 3,000 hours and its been a problem from day one..
In 3,000 hours i have had 3 coolant temp sensors, 3 Starters, 3 oil changes and filters, 1 Set of new wires.. Solar will be the way for me if this works the way i want it too. If it works decent this winter i will probably end up putting close to 600-700 watts on the truck to keep a charge going and buying a AGM battery bank.
Then adding maybe a mini split to run or just going with a EAPU as they seem to be less troubling then these diesel apu's..slow.rider and tommymonza Thank this. -
What APU do you have?
