I had spare 100 watt solar panel laying around in the garage for my RV, decided to put it on truck to keep my batteries charged. the whole project took me half a day. The truck been sitting in the driveway for the last seven days the refrigerator is on and I just checked the battery level and it's fully charged.

The charge controller I mounted behind the seat right next to a inverter.
RubyEagle, BigSky and Blackshack46 Thank this. -
That's the first time I've seen installation like that, but I like it.

That's a ridiculously great idea!

I had the same idea but I tend to procrastinate...

If the sun is at the right angle, I wonder how bad of a reflection you would get.

Good question. I guess i will have to drive it to test. Maybe polarized sunglasses will help. I will let you know.

Is this a thin film or semi flexible panel?
Ive been running a honda 2000 eu with a 6 gallon tank and use about 1 gal a night for ac. Ive done solar on 2 campersand was really happy with it. Thinking about ditching the genny for a couple panels and 6 6v trojans and a pure sine inverter. Just running a 5000 btu ac and 32in lcd tv. The one thing about those panelsis lossof efficiency due to heat. There is no ambient cooling because there is no space underneath... -
