SOLO clutch over adjusted

Clutch brake fell off today and the SOLO clutch over adjusted and the mechanics shop is now telling me they can’t get it to back off so they can get a new clutch brake in, so I am going to have to replace my clutch. Is this a common problem on these types of clutches? TIA

 

Ya they tell them they tried lining up the tabs and put the caging bolts in and it wouldn’t go... I’m wondering if I shouldn’t get another shop to take a look before I spend the money on a new clutch.. just seems a bit ridiculous that a perfect fine clutch now needs to be replaced because of a clutch brake!
