So I picked a load going about 2000 miles. I got it. It’s only two hours away but I hit a cow and now my truck is in operable. Should I ask for some type of compensation or am I just at of lost? Please help sorry if I posted it In the wrong section.
Some advice.

You're two hours from the receiver? Or two hours from the pickup? How long until your truck is up and running, and is delivery genuinely time sensitive, or is it something with some flexibility where you might be able to get repaired somewhat quickly and make delivery without impacting the customer?

Woof. How time sensitive is the load?
brian991219 Thanks this. -
Call your insurance asap! Ask if your policy covers a rental. Contact all parties involved and make them aware of the situation and the steps you are taking to make delivery. If you cannot obtain a rental - find someone in the truck stop that can repower the load for a fee. Check with the shop at the truck stop and ask if they know of a tow company that has a tractor that may be used to be covered by your insurance.

Can you ask the broker to repower your trailer for the final portion of the run, and they can deduct that cost from the total rate they were going to pay you?
One piece of advice, if there is a way to avoid it don't let the repair shop get access to your trailer. They are going to hold everything (including the product) until you pay them, resulting in a pissed off customer and broker. -
