A 2005 conviction is not almost 5-years ago. And some carriers say no DUI's in the past 10-years and never in a CMV.

Better look for a different job. Maybe in 4 or so years some carrier may possibly accept you, provided they don't ask why you received your CDL in 2008 and haven't been driving a CMV during that time.

    Sorry

Going to get much snow up there Wiseguy? All we had was rain today. Melted a lot of the snow. Now the dogs can pee & poop without sinking 10 inches.

Been snowing all day. Good 6 Inches plus just today, more tonight, on top of what we have. Snowmobiles are much more fun than big trucks in this stuff!

    Hey wiseguy-

Does your outfit hire troll school team graduates?

####, that didn't come out right.

Wife and I will graduate in January, and are looking for work. My questions are, do they hire teams, and fresh out of school?

Thanks very much. I'm a little north of Muskegon.

Also, FYI, my dogs weren't having to do the 100 meter hurdles to crap today either. High of 46 this weekend. Woohoo!

Best you can do is be up front, tell the carriers when you talk to their recruiters and HR people.

Some smaller carriers might let it slide since it's right on the bubble. Also you might be able to get a 2nd seat posting. (Sysco, Wegmans) to keep your CDL valid untill the conviction clears. (yes it's technically a conviction)

Good luck. (and ummm,,, don't get anymore tickets. Drive like you've got a beer in the cupholder, a kilo on the back seat, and a dead hooker in the trunk.)

====================================================i will attempt to this what you suggest, and ever since i got the cdl, and finding out about double fines, i have been more aware even more so of how im driving...all the problems i've ever had came from driving on the highway...so now i just hit the cruise and just focus on paying attention to the road in case i have to break the cruise.....

i have been looking online for gigs, but it seems that most operations want to 1-2 yrs experience.....i am considering trying to get with Sygma, i seen a board on them but do not know where it was. i am currently looking for it to try and get more information....

    thanks for the advice...
