Holy crap. Last time I checked we were around $200k for a KW T800 tri drive. 560 Cummins ISX, Neway air ride, 3/8" frame, 69k rears, fully loaded cab.

Are your air intakes kinda a pain?
Looks like you have to remove them to raise the cab?

They are #### expensive in Australia with our taxes and wages etc, also the engines, transmissions and other specialised parts have to be imported from the US. $200K would only buy you a small spec Jap truck here. I'm pretty sure the $CA is roughly the same as the $AU.

That's the same as our dollar.
We're one stage behind US on emissions. The new trucks use DEF but we don't have any of this regen crap I've been reading about. That is yet to come. What about Canada, do you have to have US standards if you are working within Canada?
Also as I said somewhere before you can run an older mechanical engine like mine as long as it is within specs for the year it was made. We get a fuel rebate from the govt of 12 cents/litre if you are in an accreditation scheme. -
What's fuel cost per liter....?
Here I'm paying $2.16 a gallon... -
We are pretty much on par with the US emission rules. We can run anything we want on the highway provided it meets the safety standards and emissions of the year it was built.

It's $1.19/liter in Melbourne atm but I paid $1.50/liter in Pt Hedland the other week which is expensive but you get ripped off in some parts of the country.
