So, your new trucks run EGR, particulate filter and regen? This is where all the trouble lies seems to me. The EGR Cummins ISX here gave trouble, but now it is DEF only it is less of a problem.

Current Cummins engine in the US have egr, dpf, and scr on them. Where as you only have scr on the Cummins. I wish I had your engine over here. What are the common issues with the newest Cummins engine down there right now?

They used to have problems with turbos and fan clutches (not Horton) and throwing con rods thru the block. They aren't too bad now. Everyone is p'd off with Cat leaving OEM for KW.

Some more road trains. My brother was driving the quad trailer side dumpers near Darwin NT. Cummins KTA 19 liter power. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg
The Shell fuel tankers are also quads, 2 A trailers + 1 B train.
They all gross around 170 tonnes or 375,000 lb.

If he's pulling quads he'd almost have to follow the tanker around

Haha yeah, that KT was getting about 800 meters to the liter loaded whatever that is in freedom units. But the main thing is they don't blow up like the ISXs pulling that weight in that heat. Though the ISXs have improved somewhat, still only get around 7,000 hours out of them compared to 20,000 from a KT.
