Some CB help with SR 655HP

Your guessing is going to confuse us all, you should know those numbers since Mark endorses the 955, come on Rabbi!

 

He also endorses the 655 for AM only. I don't pay much attention to those wattage numbers.

I think you are good to go

 

With a clean tune you might pep a 100 with some minor updates..Basically left stock the 655 has a bit more punch than the 955 which is about 70-80pep untouched....655 might do 5-10 more which on the other end will not likely be noticed..

 

Maybe 20 to 30 watts pep more than 447, but you are like the rest of us, always wanting to try something new and different.

 

655 has better internals and amour..Better ears to..If i had a 447 and didnt need the radio then unless i had a few hundy of ## $ then yes..
With a good shop look into the max mod and matched 2030+...Gives a few more watts but nothin to make any huge differences but it basically safer if your ant system gets messed up or not correctly set up..

 

Dont need big power if antenna is set up correctly..Bone stock cobra will get 10-20 mi on a good ant set up..
How far you go depends more on ant than radio..
