could some of you plz give me some info on crete whether its good or bad?we have heard alot of good about them and are thinking of switching companies but we really want to make sure. For examples;how are the miles?how is their rider policy?any info would be greatly appriciated....and also how is there hometime?

right now b/f is making 47 cpm, rider poicy sucks and spend more time in terminals getting truck fixed then actually being on the road.

I worked there many years. I recently talked to 3 guys I know there, and they tell me they are running good miles ( 2700-3000) and they are happy.
Crete has plenty of rules to follow. They will tell you where to fuel and you will comply 100 percent.
I talked to recruiting the other day. She said average length of haul is 600 miles.
I think rider policy has been expanded. I think taking a girlfriend might be allowed.
Trucks going to the shop: it seems most new/newer trucks will go to the shop because the new emissions equipment makes trucks less dependable than they used to be. It probably won't matter who u work for. If a Crete truck is gonna be down for several days, Crete will try to move the driver to a different truck if there is one available.
1 day off for every 7 on the road. Max days off is 4 unless u r taking vacation. They will want u to stay on the road on holidays in case there is freight to move. U will likely sit some of that time and u won't be paid for it, and u won't be home either.
Crete is better than the average megafleet and they pay better. If your focus is on staying on the road and earning, Crete may be a good choice.
Just remember, it's Crete's way or the highway.

Being that you live in GA, I would look into other companies. Has he looked into Poly Trucking?? They are out of TX and do the same dry van Crete does. They pay nearly what hes making now. Also, check into Tribe Transportation out of GA. Cretes an overall good company; just letting you know other options out there for him.

I was usually running about 2700 miles per week if I was out 7 days at Crete.
Also, I hear that Poly is better than Crete. I would definitely check them out.

Poly does NOT allow anyone else in the truck. No riders. Period.
