PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINION IF YOU THINK THESE NUMBERS ARE TRUE
(total gross) flatbed monthly $3/mile
8000*3 = $24000
weekly gross
24000/4 =$6000
truck+repair+trailer+ins.+misc.
(1500+2000+600+1400+1000)/4 =$1625
fuel cost$5/per gallon & truck mileage 6 miles/gallons
8000/6 =1333.35
1333.33*5= $6666.65
fuel+truck+repair+trailer+ins.+misc.
(6666.65/4)+1625= $3291
total expense without driver expense round figure weekly
$3300
driver pay if 25%gross
6000*.25 = $1500
driver pay if .65 cpm + 400 deadhead miles
2000*.65+(400*.65)= $1560
weekly profit
(6000-3300-1560 )= $1140
cost per mile
(3300+1560)*4
19440/8000= $2.43
some numbers for O/O with flatbed

I would say your weekly miles and $3 for all miles is inflated in this market - unless you have some contract freight worked out. I have been sitting more lately waiting on better paying loads, which reduces my weekly miles but I am enjoying the home time. However, $3 is doable but unlikely you will average $3 on all miles driven - unless you are in a hot market.

My cost with fuel is 2.37 a mile. So I would say your number is about what you should expect.

Taxes, fuel, truck/trailer payment, maintenance including everything, my take home pay. It’s literally everything that I have in it. Now I can play with these numbers just like anyone else. However numbers don’t lie. I run it just like I would if I had someone working for me.
OLDSKOOLERnWV, Ruthless, Siinman and 2 others Thank this. -
