Too late to close the stable door when the horse has already bolted. Now it is impossible to "un spill" the milk, but doesn't one stop digging if you find your self in a hole? If you don't stop digging then you might as well just give up.

That is why the ban would have to be retroactive. It would only affect US based corporations, but I would gladly answer a phone for 10 bucks an hour. Hell I have done it for less in reservations for a hotel.

This post is only for those who think that Mexican trucks are junk like said in the beginning of this thread, I've crossed the border with a truck 100+ times and I don't see junk..Every single truck that crosses into the US goes thru DOT inspection, and follows all their rules..and believe it or not 90% of Mexican trucks have a recent CVSA sticker which means its full inspected recently.
They inspect simply everything and pull you over for nothing (kinda like Blitz dot) just to look for something to screw you..then when I go to a truck stop in el paso like petro almost none of the us trucks has a recent CVSA sticker sometimes 2-3 yrs old and tires don't always look too good, which would never pass thru DOT on a Mexican truck, I'm not saying there are not junk trucks down there but those that cross are not, I'm talking about personal experience!
I would say 1/2 of them are cabovers, not pretty and new but in good condition..

IT pros in India don't live in boxes nor do they have a US lifestyle.

Most Americans live on credit beyond their means anyways.

As I have said before, the white collar workers were fine with unionized factories and jobs being outsourced in the 70's and 80's (BIG time under Reagan, who really screwed the US good).

They were all upset when their jobs got cut, but the unions were weakened thanks to 30 years of Repub attacks (Clinton who was a DINO didn't help either).

I am not in favor of "free" trade but the sad reality is that we no longer have major manufacturing capacity in the USA.

And I am all for the Mexican system of immigration and citizenship laws being applied in the US:

    1. Most govt. jobs are reserved for Mexicans by birth as well as preference in hiring is giving to native born citizens.

    2. Next come naturalized citizens.

    3. Next are those in country with valid visas.

    4. Last would be those outside the country whom would need a visa to enter and work.

Apply that same logic to the US and Americans by birth would always have preference over those that are immigrants.

What do we get when they open the cross border trucking? 1. More truck theft. 2.More freight theft. 3. more theft of lights off drivers trucks. 4. More hit & runs. 5. More drugs smuggled into the USA.

    Including the Government....

    "More hit & runs."

Saw one on Easter in Houston Texas...The 18 wheeler hit a car, backed up backing into another car and turned left into the left lane and took off, hitting the first car with the trailer as the driver was trying to get away from the scene.

The trailer had a big "La Raza" sticker on the rear door.
