I have now the same problem on uber freight I wanted to sign up and it tells me that I'm hauling freight already, I emailed ubers support team, and they responded that i can be added as a dispatcher by confirming with the link they sent to the primary email I used to sign up the first time, but it was not me and I didn't get this email, still waiting on uber for a second respond.

But for you I have an I idea why should you not tell all brokers you can that if they got a load they should confirm with you first if it happens and a broker reach out to you with a false load tell them wats giong on and let them confirm the fake load with the scammer and send the police to wait on them at the pick up address instead of the load, and especially with thos they booking again several times talk to tnis broker to work with you, and instead of refusing to book the load with them when they are trying again, he should make you aware, let them book a false load, and have the police waiting on them, this is what I wood fo in this case.

Sounds like the scammer isn’t the one picking up the load, if I read his post right, the scammer bikes the load, then sells it to another, maybe the other is involved or maybe not

We have a feeling our Dispatcher might be booking loads under and our DOT and MC number how can you find out for sure if they are. And if they are what steps need to be taking to see how many loads and stuff was booked under your numbers and you didn’t know about

Are you saying a 3rd party dispatch service?
Are they invoicing for you and collect and then forward the pay to you too?

Sorry to hear about this. Doesn’t surprise me it’s out of California. Fraud is rampant out there. Whenever I try to broker a load out originating out of CA it takes 4 or 5 carriers to find a legit one.

Id say your doing all you can. Keep us updated as this situation progresses please.

Maybe try your local field office for the FBI?

Edit: Ooops old thread. Wonder what ended up happening?

I’m not sure about it being a third-party dispatch we have our own company and my husband hired a dispatcher. And he got a phone call from a company about a load and he didn’t know anything about it while he contacted the dispatcher and she’s said something about it was I canceled load, I’m not sure about that if she could do quick pay then we wouldn’t know about it correct but most of the payment is forwarded to him or into his account or a COD

So the question is whether your own dispatcher is doing a side job using your authority, giving loads to other carriers or owner operators without your authorization and then somehow is able to collect the payments for herself.

For this to work the dispatcher would have to sign up with a broker providing her different than yours bank account to which the QP would be deposited. When you set up ACH agreement you need to provide the name of the account, then the broker would have to not care about what what bank account name is there on the ACH form before the deposit anything.
That would be quite a fraud. I think it is hard to pull off

Otherwise, If the payments are sent on checks via mail, you'd be the one to see them and sign them.

Kllm pays by efs code if you use quick pay. I have no idea how many other brokers may do that.

Now that’s all very interesting. Yesterday, I was sitting at the Circle K on I-74 at Morton, IL. Two younger guys <30, one somewhat fat and bearded the other average weight, were driving around in a white 2006-12 body style Impala with IL plate #BZ11216. They were stopping at each truck and taking pictures of the side to get the truck#, VIN# and DOT#. I didn’t think much of it at the time, since DOT# and such is publicly available.
