    LOL... I'm sure it isn't...
I had a few choices to choose from; a realtor, get a contractor's license or CDL. I thought CDL would be better because its potential to earn a steady income within a short amount of time after completion of school also its not that labor intensive.

Don't get me wrong I love all five of my kids.... I am very lucky to have the option of staying home and I thank my husband for that tremendously. My kids are in school all day now;I feel like I'm wasting my time just sitting here for 8 hours when I could be helping out.

Have you ever unloaded a 45000 lb load of frozen food (french fries, vegetables, meat) BY HAND in a 2 hour time slot? Ever muscled 150 lb tarps into position in a howling blizzard? Tied down a flatbed load of any kind? Hooked up stainless steel hoses to a tank? It can be quite a workout. Even light loads can be a lot of work if you have to stack 1300 boxes.

I know the job title is driver but that's only part of it. Many warehouses play the old tailgate game, where they say 'our insurance won't let us go in your trailer, so you have to bring it to the back and we'll take it from there'. Some places make you re-stack palletized freight to suit them, how many boxes to a layer and how many layers. The list goes on....

OTR is no place for a mom with school age kids.... it takes up more than 8 hrs....days, weeks, months turn into years and the kids are grown... and don't think for a minute that by giving your kids a stable home you aren't helping....they, your husband, society, and yes, even yourself will thank you some day.

Too many non-drivers out there think this is some sort of 9-5, Mon-Fri type "job".

    If they only knew...

    There's plenty of them; 100% no-touch freight.
