It is in your head and it will stay there until one day it will be gone.

I had a heck of a time backing into a spot 1 night, tight lil pilot in Ill. Tried putting it in 3 times, trucks are waiting, people are watching, drivers getting grumpy, gotta try again, all of a sudden a voice comes over the cb, come on punkin head, need me to come up there and drive your truck for ya??
I had enough...set my brakes halfway in and grabbed the mic....ya come on up here supertrucker, and when your done, maybe you can cure cancer, end world hunger and take care of unemployment in the US. 10 seconds later a different voice comes on, GOOD 1.
Destressed me completely and that trailer went right where I wanted it to.

It's just a thing............you'll be fine in time. You have nothing to prove except to yourself.

Here goes so actual advice. First relax, second when you setup take all the room you need do not worry about being in someones way for a minute. Do not rush your self, turn your CB off. If someone cuts behind you do not let it upset you, let them go better for you anyway. Pull up as you need to. Just think about where your backing in before setting up .

I deal with the same thing. Some days if there are three spots open next to each other I cant put the trailer in to save my life.

Backing a spread is not easy for sure some days. Need more room out in front than a dual tandem does.

Sounds like you are so used to backing in odd configurations, what would seem like normal backing is not natural to you. Been there done that. As already mentioned, turn off the distractions. If others are in a hurry, it does not mean you have to be also. Take it slow and be safe. And let em wait.
