Pay the fine, buy another pistol, be more judicious in where you take it.

The post I replied to mentioned marriage, please tell me where in the Constitution that marriage is a protected constitutional right.
Also where in the Constitution does it mention guns? You have the right to bear arms but the govt gets to decide what that means. Because last I checked it’s illegal for me to own a Minuteman III.

"The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act has already sailed through the House of Representatives and has the full support of President Trump. It has roughly 40 co-sponsors in the Senate where a showdown is shaping up between the gun lobby and law enforcement over states' rights and the second amendment."

Same as the last time this was tried...Law enforcement convinced Senators to vote against it.. Likely why it has currently stalled in the Senate.. That said I will cut my reply short as to not get this thread moved.

It passed in the last house and then died in the Senate. It would have to be reintroduced in the House and pass there which isn’t going to happen.

Wasnt my argument, I'm just pointing out that was what SCOTUS said in the aforementioned case.

Not since the SCOTUS ruling on the 14th Amendment. Anti or pro gun either way, just want to see some sort of standard so these things dont continue to happen

I apologize if my post was getting close to that or crossing the line. I was not trying to make an argument for or against it, just simply stating I'd like to see some sort of standard across the board to avoid these sort of situations. I know I wasnt clear, my bad.

My comment was strictly about your Texas drug example. Marriage and ICBMs were not part of it.

Getting close and losing is the ideal situation for politicians. "Last session we fell 2 Congressman/Senators short of passing the bill that would save our Republic. Won't you donate today so next time we can pass it?"
