I came up on a TMC Pete this morning. It appears their trucks are governed at like 62mph or so.
Seems like they all take pride in their trucks. To be honest, I don't think I've seen a dirty one.....ever!

Nope, they pay to have the tractors washed every week (or two, don't remember which), and vacuumed out reguarly. 62 is fine. The last truck I drove (I won't drop Swift's name here) was governed at 58. Yeah, let's not get into that....

Yeah, It's mandatory washed every week. (they pay it) And when at a terminal, I have heard they will randomly inspect the inside of your truck. They really want there trucks looking good going down the road. Another is if you buy say a TV, fridge or whatnot for your truck, they want you to have there mechs, put them in at the terminals. Your free to get things like that and custom your interior a bit, but they wanna do the install.

Sounds like a good situation all around. Having good equipment is the majority of the equation. Having it all clean and shiny is something you'll be proud of and that will improve your attitude quite a bit I suspect.

Fridge, TV, microwave...... If they wanna do the install, no problem. Less work for me!! The only thing that concerns me a little bit is the fact that the trucks are already equipped with CBs. I don't mind it really, but I'm used to my unit. Plus, I've got a black Cobra 29LTD. It would go with that truck, but hey, whatever the powers that be want.... No problem! I'm getting excited. Hey Gears, I'm gonna look you up while I'm there. We'll try to go eat or something. Your treat. LMAO!!!!!!! :biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

Yeah TMC seems like they have there head on mostly straight. Coming out of Driving school I had to go with one of these rookie companies. I did my research and TMC seems to beat the rest of the rookie companies at every point. What finally made up my mind, My neighbor is a OTR driver, But man a lazy lazy man, Drives for some crap company, just a slob all around. He said he walked out of TMC's orientation because of all there rules. Well, I can tell you I want to be the opposite of him
