Which unilever is set up for a blindside? Pontoon beach and Carilise both tell you to drive one way, you can spin around to set your backing up.

Not being a ##### so don't think that, but who gives a **** about the trucks behind you? Its your safety bonus, your license and your job if you hit something trying to blindside when you don't have to. Courtesy while driving is one thing, but you shouldn't let another truck or driver put you into a situation that can go bad in a hurry. Just my advice backing is hard enough let alone blindsiding no need to do it when you don't have to. Worse case is driver around the entire lot so you are at the end of the line.

Well honestly guys, I just went down to the far end and whipped the truck around and waited until the coast was clear and alley backed the the trailer in in about 10 seconds. No one said anything. I would have spent several minutes in and out in and out trying to blindside dock in that place. I really didn't have time to fool around cause I had to pick up a trailer and boogie to east st Louis and I had 32 minutes left on my 14.

Excellent advice! Never blind side when you dont have too. When someone/thing forces you to "rush" you will make a mistake. But sometimes no matter what you do - you just cant "hit the hole"! We all have been there!

I have been doing the same thing, I always say to my trainer, I will take my sweet safe ### time and if they get pissed waiting on me it's on them not me. However, that incident that happened at the Truck stop in Catersville makes me a bit nervous. If someone got pissed and impatient enough that a person would actually shoot you in the head dead scares me a bit. But I am still protecting my CDL and job and being as safe and slow as I need to be in the end.

The story we got from another Millis driver was he heard on the radio news that a driver was backing into a open spot at that truck stop in Catersville and was taking awhile to get in it. Another driver decided to take the spot by pulling through from the back side, they argued and one of them got shot. Now I didn't see/read or hear about it when we were down there so not sure how accurate it is .... you know how some guys out there have all kinds of stories lol
