Still turnin and burnin. Good checks comin in every week. Right now Im empty in OKC trying to get home for the fourth holiday. Grossed 4400+ this week. Im averaging 1300-1600/wk pretax take home. My mpg is still above 8. This week was 8.11mpg but I had some heavy boxy loads that sucked my avg down some. Even the heaviest load though I was still able to maintain 7mpg. Now I gotta get my apu serviced I guess. Does TA's do that kind of work or is that a Prime shop only type of thing? Apu hit its 250hr mark this week
-
If its just a PM then TA should be able to do it, at least they did mine. But then again they filled it up with oil till it was comming out the dipstick tube. So make sure you check it before you leave the TA lolDanfromwindsor Thanks this.

What kind of flatbed trailer have you been using if I go to prime I would like a stepdeck
-
You like step decks?! Freaking hate those things. Have one now. We have 48 flats or 53 steps.

glad to hear that you are doing good on mileage. Numbers are sounding good. How much did you say that you could load on trailer with the condo you took?

Um 53' dropdeck suck lol. I keep getting rid of these darned drop decks only to get another in a week or two lol. Tonight was a 53' with the axles closed picked up at Tamco Joplin. Long story short RA was needed to assist the sliding of the rear axle so the trailer axle was legal weight. What a pia lol.

I prefer a step deck I like having whatever im hauling lower to the ground unless its on the top deck....as for that tamko load its best to drop d trlr with the axle open especially there bc the majority of the loads weigh over 40k and sometimes its hard to get the trlr up high enough to slide the axle

Well this week was less than stellar with too many delays. Im still hoping to make hay with a short run monday hopefully. On the flip side the gf got to see the good typical week of trucking and the occasional "murphys" week of trucking in her two weeks on the truck. She has a better appreciation for what I do now. I asked her if she wanted to team and her response was "H*** NO! I'd run over some of these dumba**es!" Lol She has a bit of road rage.
Chucktaylor, jxu417 and jomar68 Thank this. -
Well last week was my first "bad" week with Prime if you can call it bad. I still made a small profit. Had two days basically wasted due to issues beyond Primes control. So I prolly lost a minimum of $1000 in revenue. I only grossed around $2800 last week. I thought this week was headed into the crapper after dealing with a particular customer I shall not name that left me hangin all day wednesday only to have to drive in the wee hours thursday to deliver 6hrs away before 9. Sat at the delivery half the day then when empty went to get coils going back to the same customer to deliver friday only to have them refuse delivery. Ugh! Prime was NOT happy. Finally dropped my loaded trailer at drop yard grabbed an empty and went to grab another load for the weekend then try to get back to drop lot by tuesday to deliver the coils.
skellr Thanks this.
