They have 3 years left on the lease of the freightliners....

the prostars look good right now because of fuel mileage but there is a lot to evaluate between now and then.

they have not been to the northwest in winter yet.

i think the whole single screw thing wont cut it in bad weather...

other than that i dont mind them. These are the bigger prostars and they do ride good plus i like the maxxforce climate control system better. And they have fridges....

 

Another thing to consider is in 3 years the LNG engines will be hitting the highways and that will be a game changer in trucking...

 

Yeah the only positive I see is 3 more years with the Freightshakers. I've driven a 2014 Prostar, not a fan.

Like you said, a lot of time between now and then, I too have a hard time believing they will average 10 over the long haul.

 

Yeah like tow stated just wait till they start dealing with the mountain passes this winter in the Northwest... I like my Cascadia and frankly minds gotten nearly 8.5 miles per gallon overall average

 

That might be long enough for me to end my career. And I will need a new fridge...

 

I was thinkn the same, a couple more good OTR years and It won't matter what I do after that. That's why I want to make sure I make the best decision available.

 

From what I here They are a good company to drive for and I would take a good look at them
