Getting on Greyhound bus in four hours and starting with them Monday morning.....I'm getting nervous now

 

Don't be nervous, everything will be fine. Trucking isn't complicated; it just looks that way for new drivers. You goint to Tulsa for orientation?

 

Yes Tulsa..34 hour bus ride!!
I really hope it works out for me and I make it through the orientation part. The driving part I have a lot of confidence in my skills.

 

Shouldn't have a problem; chaining and tarping is mainly common sense. They'll show you how they want it done during orientation.

 

Since I'm from Valdosta...where is the speed trap at?

 

They dedicate the 4th and 5th day to load securement if I understand it right. I'll be good with that part I'm sure..Leaving the Florida warm sunshine is going to be the biggest shock I think..

Sounds like they will have 15 people starting Monday an I hope I'm not the oldest one there!

 

Watch your baggage on the bus. People have a habit of stealing luggage. They'll grab an extra suitcase that's stored underneath because no one pays attention to what's going on. No valuables there for sure; carry it in your lap if you have to.
