Mostly farmers and outside agitators that I saw at our blockade. Not many truckers with 8 wheel JD tractors. The truckers were too busy working.

Worst block party ever. Food was horrible. Musical entertainment was sub par, and parking was a nightmare.

    peterd and TSL80 Thank this.

The point of the post was to emphasize on workers conducting a strike in support for higher wages. This is something you Canooks have no clue how to do, admit it. You have no idea how to organize in a fragmented and divided society. You are disempowered - they took national unity and strength away from you. And all that was left were a few redneck "truckers", who in last ditch attempt made their way onto the capital while led by fools who in their sole ignorance misjudged and therefore misguided the totality of the whole movement. In Canada, the corporates rule, they dictate the terms, and the workers are shunted into the gutters. Know this. The saddest part of this story, however, is that instead of the country uniting to support of the few hopeful degenerates; they were ridiculed. The only men who, while under such vague attempt, had the balls to stand up to corporate powers.

What a childish take, the canadian trucker protest was far more effective at shattering the illusions that the govt could be reasoned with or even listen to their people than the usa version.

The usa version, that one was was a road trip by poor buisnessmen and no plan or unifying theme aside from "we dont know how to negotiate real rates in the face of high fuel cost" and amusingly, fuel still went up another 1$/gallon from that time.

Who were the rednecks? The canadians that managed to stick out close to a month of sitting in the capitol in *february in canada* before their govt started to seize bank accounts, oooor the tiny group of twits that made a road trip to dc, circled the city 5 times honking and then went home within a day?
