I called these guys a while back. Sixty three cents per mile. But they run older Mack trucks with no refrigerator.

Their Facebook page shows International LT's (I know, not really an upgrade over the older Macks) and new Macks. Their website shows new Cascadias.

I use to run out of the P&G plant in Augusta on a weekly basis but when Proctor & Gamble started making the Tide Pods, the Augusta plant virtually closed their doors and may have by now. International Paper Mill was relatively close to the P&G plant and Kimberly Clark was across the river in Beech Island. The company I was working for at the time never got enough freight from those places to make up the volume we lost from P&G so we quit going to the Augusta area.

Here's a dry van company that falls under the radar, with really nice equipment. You can get home every week with this outfit. They have a regional fleet to where you would run the southeast only. There were a couple of guys that live in Murfreesboro, TN that I'd talk with whenever I'd stop through there on some weekends. They had nothing bad to say about them and one of them was home every weekend. The other one I think was moreso an OTR guy, but he never stayed out longer than 2 weeks. If you can get on with their regional fleet, I'd imagine you could make good money and get through Augusta with regularity

Do you remember the name of the company in Albany that had the Peterbilt daycabs and ran in and out of Miller all of the time? I want to say it was a person's last name, "Jones" maybe but after being away from Albany for 4 years, I've forgotten almost everything I knew about south Georgia. They could also be found at Interstate Warehouse pretty often.
