I run the SouthEast region. South of Canada and East of Hawaii. Sad but true, but at least im getting miles. Been averaging 2400-3200 / week which isnt great but its paying the bills. Will be training in the near future which should up the miles or at the very least reduce my personal work load /shrug.
Southern regional?

I just got a card in the mail from a Werner that says that 60% of their drivers are home every weekend...that CANT be true, can it?
-
It is true. not sure how long youve been trucking but as a new driver you can go in and get a dedicated or a regional run and be home a day and a half every week. Or if its available even local. I had to leave werner because being away from home most of the week isnt for me but if I ever had a change of heart id want to go back with them. simply for the home time.
Belton Bandit Thanks this. -

Big Blue are you training yet? Are you based out of Atlanta?

I spoke with a driver this evening doing the Midwestern regional, and he likes it just fine.
In fact all of the actual people that I have spoken to or emailed directly all like Werner.
-
I did,it was ok,got more home time.Had a dollar general account with them.I was home about every 10 days.
-
How did orientation go? I'm going to be there Monday after Christmas. Are you on the regional route yet or still with a trainer? Just curious as you were before.
-
Not true . lot of local drivers that re home every night cross state lines .
-
I think in some employment ads they say 6-7 state experience to qualify for OTR.
