Mike, I has an older gallaxy 949 that needs attention. Although I have had good luck with Al in the past, I am always looking to find other competent CB guys. Shoot me a PM with contact info please. I was just looking at replacing it with a new one but the local TS knows what they want for these things. I would rather spend 100 dollars or less fixing it then buying a new one for 200+ dollars.

Let me just say this. Any place that won't communicate with you within 24hrs, you need to find a new place. It's called customer service, something rapidly disintegrating in America
x#1 Thanks this. -
Mike,
I sent my Magnum to him and it works so well I sent him another one that a guy gave me that was all messed up. -
R and R in Delaware if you want a good talking radio and good prices been dealing with them for 20 years family owned business great people to deal with and dustin can make a radio talk

A few years ago I got a Galaxy DX-44 from R&R they removed the limiter sounded like CRAP! I know a few other Drivers who got CRAPPY sounding radios from R&R. But some Drivers do like the crappy sounding over modulated splatter boxes that nobody wants to hear on the air.

All my radios have a limiter.......it's called a "mic gain"!

You've been dealing with them for 20 years so I'm sure this is probably not true in this case. But.....I'm always wary of shops that can "really make a radio talk". I want to know how long they will last after someone has made them "talk". There is a right way, and a wrong way. I find most do it the wrong way. I like what my tech/friend says. He tunes your radio to do all it can do and last a normal life......! You want it to do more? He'll tell you to add a linear.rollingradios Thanks this.

Want a good cb shop. The one closest to you or most traveled by. First hand experience then later on maybe order parts online and get them shipped or pick them up personally from shop you ordered it from. So far never had a bad experience with anyone.
