Yes. That’s our main customer base.
Yeah I really wonder about my travel agent sometimes. It’s not like it’s going to be beautiful weather at home where I have a 5 acre yard to get ready for spring or anything... -
Ok you pick up a lot In Colorado or just a lot of aviation loadsTug Toy Thanks this.
-
Aviation loads. As far as I know we do very little colorado. I personally have never picked up in Colorado and only delivered one stop of a broker load there. You’re probably seeing guys hauling thrust reversers and inlet cowlings from Kansas to Washington. We do quite a few of those loads a week.cke Thanks this.

I’ll be able to afford that new toaster oven I always wanted now!cke Thanks this. -
DFG isn't a bad program, it would take a couple pages to list off everything I've gotten off of it, yes mostly kitchen stuff but still less expensive just paying income tax on it as opposed to full price. That's where most people get in a bind, they save up a million points, buy a few $1000 worth of stuff all at once and wind up with no paycheck when it hits. Not a perfect program but still a whole lot cheaper to pay +/- $100 income tax on a set of Wusthof knives as opposed to $799 at Willam's Sonoma.jamespmack, cke, Rugerfan and 1 other person Thank this.

What’s the monthly cost to SPD? Believe Travis mentioned 40k +/- before....
not a fan of that
:/jamespmack and cke Thank this. -
Under the old program, the cost was paid in full by Daseke, not by SPD. Under the new program the cost will be paid fully by SPD however the program will be much scaled back compared to what it was.
In the bigger picture, corporations use these types of program to reward employees and in turn keep good employees. Many 10's of 1000's hours of time is spent analyzing cost vs benefit to companies for these types of programs. There are also tax incentives on the corporate level that have to be accounted for. So to say it cost the company $40k, well that is a subjective number, if it kept the company from having to run just 10 people through the new hire process, it's already pretty much paid for itself once the rest of the corporate benefit is calculated. In the end, that's not money coming out of your paycheck to pay for it per se, it's a business expense that if it makes fiscal sense they will continue, if it doesn't then it will go away. Dan refused to keep the program going at the cost it was and negotiated a new plan with Stay Metrics. I don't know what the new one will be like as I'm no longer eligible to participate, I was locked out of my account the morning I sat down in the chair in Wichita back in July last year even though I'm still listed as an active driver and have to take wiz quizzes. -
it makes sense.
I would just much rather see the funds used elsewhere.
every time I’ve sat and watched the forum recently people ask for D4G so it’s obviously a well liked program.cke Thanks this.
