    I say that most anyone can drive a truck straight down the road. We are paid to back up and go down mountians… that’s what makes us ‘professionals’

    On average the two things that can affect a trucker is when they are backing, and just how fast they go forward.

    If you avoid backing, you’ll never get good at it, and if you aren’t good at it, you might as well get a desk job.

    That's a lie. I went to school in June 2020. I got my first driving job in November 2021. No refresher course. I went through orientation and then out with a trainer.

    I got hired by Dutch Maid Logistics, a 150-driver company at the time. DML is now over 200 drivers.
