These would be great if u was running a covered wagon and just steel coils or something similar. Talk about efficiency . Put chain thru coil, binder on chain, couple pumps of drill and go. I may have to pick up a couple and see how good they work . I think the best test of ratchet binders is how well they hold up to the elements on a open rack in winter time . The cheap stuff gets weeded out real quick

it doesn't take much to run the truck out of air when using any air tool.cke, FerrissWheel and Troy_ Thank this.

I’d be careful using a impact. The jar could possibly damage the gears.

I have been using speed binders for over a year and I absolutely love them. I use a top of the line milwaukee drill and they get a lot tighter than anyone could do by hand. The manufacturer claims that use of an impact will void the warranty.

We have since approved the use of impacts. I have been using one for over a year now. You can use a 1/4 or 3/8th impact. The big 1/2 is too much, it'll snap a wheel stud off. We are huge in the steel hauling industry. All metal in south carolina run about 1,500 of these on 150 trucks, precision slit, kaplan trucking and hundreds of op run these with great results and healed shoulders.FerrissWheel, Bobtail Bobby and cke Thank this.
