They didn't want to charge for a full hour because they weren't working on it for the full hour.I was treated very fairly.

He might want to pass someone doing 72.9 and not have to spend half an hour doing it.

Do you realize you were answering a seven year old post?
And not answering very politley either.Socal Xpress, Slowmover1, GreenPete359 and 3 others Thank this. -
Honestly see no reason you should be going 85+ in a big rig. One of your tires that are most likely rated for 75 decide to pop and you’re going to have a wild ride if it’s your steers.

Wasn’t him. It was that 40-oz malt liquor wrote that.

The truck in my avatar was a 72 mph dowdy truck. I would be able to pull away in those days from any governed herd. It was plenty fast enough. This was before 85 mph roadways though.
85 is plenty. Anything beyond that well... Until it's lawful (say 100...) I have to encourage some restraint. Ive had fast trucks before and it really did not improve anything for the risks.
I always stand against the idiot companies governing at 61 or thereabouts, take those out onto 70, 75, 80 or 85 mph highways is just asking to be rammed under the trailer to kill people. -
i think my speed limiter is set at 110 or something like that. its faster than the truck has legs to actually run, i rarely ever drive over 70 though. its nice to have some extra speed available when passing though.
anyone with the software to communicate with your ecm can change your speed limiter options provided you are the owner of the truck.
