Can I ask what software you have for your Detroit, and where and how much to get it?

Tons of guys at Bison used to do this, every now and again, i was lucky enough to get into a company truck that did 105-106! (Bison is limited to 99-101 usually). They do monitor everything, so the speeds show up on your annual safety report. Just depends on who is watching, I never sped anywhere, so as long as I was doing 105 in a 105, it never got flagged LOL. One time tho, they seen the average speed of my truck was 103 for the month (supposed to be limited to 99) and some people got upset.

Honestly, if you can do 105, that's all you really need TBH, I'm setup at 130, I still drive 105. 110 puts an end to the passing games if need be, but following another truck on the adaptive cruise at 105 and 10 sec following distance isn't the end of the world to save fuel either.

Anyway, never get caught messing with speed limiters, the anti collision system or the ELD's. You're gonna get fired, and they will make sure the next place knows.

It is the official Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link Standard Edition. I pay a $500 a year subscription. Allows you to adjust vehicle parameters, and diagnose engine faults.
    You cannot reprogram the engine.

    alds and Elroythekid Thank this.

What can you do for $500 a year vs a 1 time fee of $500 that is programmable.
And yes you have to be stopped to use the BD

You have to register first to get a Single Sign On ID. Owner operators are able to. Then you need the adapter ( nexiq usb link 2) to plug in your laptop.

    Elroythekid Thanks this.

DD-15 usually has three engine ratings programmed into the ECM. Can standard version select which one to use? That is different than connecting to the server to download a new calibration and install it. I have not been able to get an answer on this from the seller, they really only want legitimate dealers to have DD software, but they do allow O/O to get the castrated version.
