Speed limiter bypass?

Was recently talking to a few company drivers at challenger and was shocked at how many were bypassing the 105 Ontario speed limits. Apparently they use this thing called "The BullyDog Heavy Duty WatchDog". Some of the trucks are governed at 97KMH and you got guys turning it up to 105-110. I thought it was Impossible to bypass speed limiters without hooking up a big ### laptop to the truck and changing it.

Surprised any company driver especially for challenger would take a chance at this. Apparently many owner operators use it too.

Have any of you owner operators ever heard of this?

Ever since the OPP announced they’d start handing out speed limiter violations at 115 all those 401 corridor trucks have been running 110+.

Now another way around this if you have a Detroit Diesel, would be to download detroit diesel diagnostic link (DDDL) online and also a backdoor password generator to bypass the company password ... There are free copies of both online but you will have to spend about $700 for a Nexiq USB link (or similar) to actually use the software .. Every now and then you can find a laptop on eBay with everything imaginable loaded including backdoor password generators . You would buy this plus the Nexiq USB link . Or search the web for free copies (Not posting those websites on here)

Also if you're using modern AOBRD/Elog you will get caught eventually . Even if you turn back the speed governor before they call you in , there will be a log stored in the ECM that anyone with dealership level software will be able to see .

The password is “password” or “1234” or “asdfgh” it could also be “abcde”
Most are not password protected because they need to be able to be serviced by say Loves or Flying J or Ryder or miscellaneous. A company I worked for needed the password to fix the ecm and they made sure to leave it open after that. Password protection is really bad on an ECM. Especially when you’re on a time line.
